When will the US House and Senate realize that the US citizenry has little to no faith in what they do?
I doubt they ever will when you have a Majority Leader and a Speaker of the House who thinks that they own each body they govern.
The members of each body have been elected to follow the guidance of their electorate but unfortunately they have decided to allow money of the lobbyist to come between them and their electorate.
Over the years these elected officials have forgotten who put them in office in the first place and it is those voters who expect them to follow their say not the other way around. Once they start following the money of the lobbyist it is time to remove the Senator or Representative. Now is the time to do whatever it takes to regain the house and the Senate to the American People.
But this is just one clowns opinion

ReplyDeleteI could not agree with you more however, we cannot sit back and blame the House or the Senate when we, the voters continuously re-elect and create the career politician. This change is truly not sudden or overnight but has been building for over the past 60 years. It ceased long ago to be either Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal. When we allow any politician to spend 25, 30, 40 years or more in office it shows a complacency on our part and creates apathy.
I agree with you, my friend but until 'We The People' get off of our dead asses and take control of our government at the ballot box the we will continue to place our government in the hands of the lobbyists, unions and special interest groups.
